IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Note about arrival and departure: We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before beginning of the class in order to complete your registration and familiarize yourself with the facility. The daily class schedule will be communicated on the first day of class (indicatively every day from 09:30h to 19:30h, with a lunch break).
We will need each and every single hour of the class, so please do your best to arrive in time and organize your travel back home in such a way that you won’t need to leave before the end of class. What to bring: - Comfortable clothes for land classes
- 2 Swim suits, lycra swim cap, towel/bath robe, pool flip flops, products for the shower and care of your skin.
- 1-1,5 litres bottle of water in plastic or metal.
- Minerals for rehydratation.
- Logbook, manuals of previous courses, notebook and pen.
- Your floats.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The FOUNDATION module provides you with all the fundamental techniques, principles and concepts to become a performing Aquasoma^® Essentials Specialist.

This module is about offering the receivers a rejuvenating experience through improving their flexibility, relaxation and breath, as well as facilitating their mental unwinding. The work will expand from the head and trunk to involve the upper and lower limbs.

Main topics covered in this module:

Understanding and working with the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.
Changing paradigm: from a mechanical approach to a system repatterning.
Working by objective: setting goals and achieving results.
Interacting with the fascia.
PNF.
The full toolset for improved spine mobility.
Main tools for enhanced shoulder mobility.
Main tools for enhanced hip mobility.
The last 3 principles of MKS watsu:

Being Invisible / Non-Intrusive.
As a therapist I can offer only what I have.
Intention.

The warrior stance: understanding and appropriate use.
Waves, bringing the body to resonance.

Being this a private facility, the exact location of the venue will be given upon registration to the course. ACCOMMODATION AND HOW TO GET THERE HOW TO GET THERE:

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
This private facility is located at a 15mins walk (1,2 km, 0.75 miles) from the Metro stop of La Canyada in line L2.
Metro L2 connects to the city centre, the metro hub of Angel Guimerà (L1, L3, L5, L7, L9) and AVE fast train station of Joaquin Sorolla (Metro stop Jesús).

BY CAR:
11km from the Valencia city limit, exit 9A/9B of CV35 (9km from the Valencia city limit)

FROM THE VALENCIA (VLC) AIRPORT:
We recommend to take a taxi that will bring to the facility in 12 minutes and for 15-18 Eur.
If you are on a budget, take metro L3 or L5 (the station is in the basement of the Airport). Change at Angel Guimerà and take L2 direction Lliria. Step down in La Canyada. Enjoy 15 minutes walk unitl the facility door.

ACCOMMODATION:

Valencia is the 3rd largest city in Spain. It offers plenty of hotels, hostals, B&B, and rooms for rent for any budget.
You can surely find something that fits you using Google Hotel Search, or AirB&B or any other accommodation search engine.
Just make sure you chose one accommodation that is close to any station of Metro L2 to make it easier for you to arrive every day at the facility.

REGISTRATION

Places are limited to guarantee each participant will receive personalized attention from the instructor(s).
Registration will be accepted on a first come - first serve basis. The registrations will be valid only upon receipt of the deposit (or full tuition), and completion of the Registration Form duly filled with all requested personal data. The balance must be paid on the first day of the course in cash please. We won't be able to accept credit cards or cheques.

INCLUDED IN THE COURSE TUITION Professional, highly effective -yet fun- instructors' teaching during course hours. Learning materials (course manual and video). Fee to use of all class related facilities. Certificate of participation issued by the International School of Watsu. TO PAY SEPARATELY Travel expenses, food and lodging costs (see details in the 'ACCOMMODATION' section).

CANCELLATION POLICY

a) Cancellation is permitted only if requested in writing by email to info@iswatsu.com at least 6 full weeks prior to beginning of the course.
b) Cancellations requested via email 6 full weeks prior to beginning of the course will receive back their deposit less a 50 € administration fee.
c) Cancellations requested via email between 6 and 4 full weeks before the beginning of the class will receive back their deposit less 100 € as administration fee and penalty for late cancellation.
d) Cancellations requested via email less than 4 full weeks before the class start date, will lose any refund of the deposit.

In case the minimum number of students is not achieved the organization has the faculty to postpone or cancel the course. In case of cancellation you will be refunded the full deposit with no further compensation. In case of postponement the deposit will be refunded to the students who request it.

DISCOUNTS AND REDUCTIONS

Students repeating the class will take advantage of a 50% reduction on the tuition fee, either the full tuition or the early bird tuition as appropriate.
