AQUASOMA® and Pregnancy

The Aquasoma® and watsu specialization for Pregnant Women offers specific training on the needs of expectant mothers during watsu – aquatic bodywork sessions. 

You will understand the specific needs of pregnant women and learn new techniques and adaptations of fundamental AQUASOMA® techniques for working with women during pregnancy.

By the end of the course, you will be able to plan safe and effective AQUASOMA® sessions, focusing on restoring mobility in tense or strained areas, enhancing the well-being of expectant mothers.

Course format: blended training (2 modules of each 3 days in-person, plus online materials and self-directed tasks at home)

Number of credits: 3,3 AECS

Prerequisites: Aquasoma® Foundation course (recommended: Aquasoma® Essentials Specialist certification). OR, as an alternative, one of the following course: Jahara® Specialist, Watsu 2.

Single-topic course dedicated to the comprehensive treatment of the lumbar area, pelvis, sacrum, and hips.

In this AQUASOMA® watsu specialization, you will learn advanced techniques developed to reduce tension and promote relaxation in these important areas of the body.

AQUASOMA® Legs and Feet

We are also designing this single-topic Aquasoma® course focused on the lower extremities. 

Generally, legs and feet receive limited attention in watsu sessions. This specialized AQUASOMA® and watsiu specialization course aims to address this gap.

The course includes a section on the use of pillows, collars, and floating noodles.

Course format: blended learning (in-person time to be defined, plus online materials and self-directed tasks at home)

AQUASOMA® experience sessions

Sessions you must receive from an Aquasoma® Advanced Specialist that will give you the opportunity to personally experience what you will soon offer to your clients/patients.

Obligatory: 3 sessions provided by certified Aquasoma® Advanced Specialists.

Course format: individual sessions (45 min per session)
Number of credits: 0.1 AECS
Prerequisites: none

AQUASOMA® Advanced Specialist exam

You will be able to demonstrate your comptence during 2 practical sessions that you will give to two instructors, after passing the online preparatory test.

Course format: 2 one-to-one practice sessions (90 min per session) and online preparatory test.

Number of credits: 0.15 AECS
